Das, who described himself as the only candidate with a business in the 3rd Congressional District, said he is a more pragmatic Democratic than other contenders. He explained to co-hosts Bill Macek and Bill Ellis that while he cares about social issues, nothing matters if you don’t have good jobs, hope and a roof over your head. “You can’t have anything unless you have a strong economy,” said Das, quoting late Sen. Independent Senate Candidate Ayyadurai Speaks Out on Cambridge Free Speech Fight

Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, independent candidate for U.S. Senate, Monday night told 97.9 WHAV FM listeners about his quest to succeed Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Appearing on the New Open Mic Show with Bill Macek and Bill Ellis, he related the story about how he invented Email as a 14-year-old living in Newark, N.J. Ayyadurai also accused the City of Cambridge of violating his First Amendment rights to free speech by citing his anti-Warren campaign slogan on a refurbished bus outside his office. He holds four degrees from MIT, is a Fulbright Scholar and has launched seven hi-tech companies including EchoMail, CytoSolve and Systems Health. He is currently CEO of CytoSolve. Littlefield Seeks Single-Payer Health Insurance in Congressional Campaign

Appearing Monday, April 16, on 97.9 WHAV FM’s New Open Mic Show, Third District congressional candidate Littlefield advocated for universal access to healthcare using the single payer model. Although the government would handle payments, he told co-hosts Bill Macek and Bill Ellis, all healthcare would still be delivered by private physicians and hospitals. Littlefield previously founded WaveMark, which he sold in 2013 to Cardinal Healthcare. Later, he served as executive director for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affair’s Center for Innovation.
