East Parish Meeting House Holds Seventh Annual Caroling and Camaraderie Event

Haverhill’s East Parish Meeting House is presenting music, refreshments and more at its seventh annual “Caroling and Camaraderie” event. The program occurs Sunday, Dec. 11, at 4 p.m., at East Parish Meeting House, 150 Middle Road, Haverhill. Music will be led by the Riversiders and the Greenleaf Musicians. Warm fire, candlelight and room to carefully social distance is also available.

‘A Christmas Carol’ Returns to Northern Essex Community College After Three-Year Hiatus

After a three-year hiatus, Northern Essex Community College brings back its annual production of “A Christmas Carol” this weekend. The performances take place Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 10, at 3 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m., at the Chester Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk Building, at the Northern Essex Community College Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St., Haverhill.

Methuen’s Veteran Services Puts on Holiday Celebration for Veterans at Merrimack Valley Golf Course

The Methuen Veteran Services office is hosting a holiday celebration for local veterans at Merrimack Valley Golf Course. The party takes place tonight, Dec. 8, from 6-8 p.m., at the Merrimack Valley Golf Course, 210 Howe St., Methuen. Veterans of all years and branches are welcome to attend and bring loved ones. Cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Salem Animal Rescue League Offers Auctions, Games and a $2,500 Shopping Spree at Winter Carnivale

Salem Animal Rescue League is hosting a night of music, activities and prizes at its “Winter Carnivale,” its 30th anniversary celebration grand finale. The carnival takes place Friday, Dec. 9, from 5:30-9:30 p.m., at Castleton Banquet and Conference Center, 58 Enterprise Drive, Windham N.H.

Guests may expect a wine tasting, live and silent auctions,  selfie station, carnival games, raffles and more. Food and drink will also be served. Live auction items include a Boston Harbor sailing cruise, a one-week stay in Old Orchard Beach, a helicopter tour of Boston and more.

Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill Toy Drive Ends Friday

The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill is asking for donations of new and unwrapped toys for their holiday toy drive. The drive is open now and ends Friday, Dec. 9. Donations may be dropped off from Monday to Friday, between 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Boys and Girls Club, 55 Emerson St., Haverhill. Stevens Memorial Library Hosts ‘She’s on the Case,’ with Three Critically Acclaimed Mystery Writers

North Andover’s Stevens Memorial Library is welcoming three critically acclaimed, female mystery writers to discuss their work at an event entitled “She’s on the Case.”

The program is happening Thursday, Dec. 8, from 7-8 p.m., online. Authors Sulari Gentill, Hank Phillippi Ryan and Eva Jurczyk are going to discuss their respective novels: The Woman in the Library, Her Perfect Life and The Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. Haverhill High School Offers Presentation on Youth and Families Mental Health Awareness

Haverhill High School is partnering with the Samaritans of Merrimack Valley to offer an informational presentation on mental health among youth and families. The presentation takes place Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Haverhill High School, 137 Monument St., Haverhill. Topics include depression, anxiety, non-suicidal self-injury and suicide prevention efforts. Resources will be included.

Haverhill High School Requests Winter Clothing During Final Week of Winter Coat Drive

Haverhill High School is hosting the last week of accepting winter clothing for its winter coat drive. The drive is accepting items from now until Friday, Dec. 9. Donations should be brought to room M23 at Haverhill High School, 137 Monument St., Haverhill. Donations should consist only of coats, jackets, mittens, gloves or scarves that are in good condition.
