Mother Earth was smiling on the shoe city Saturday when more than 200 volunteers fanned out across Haverhill to spruce up their neighborhoods and shared spaces as part of 2019’s citywide Earth Day cleanup effort.
Headed by Mayor James J. Fiorentini, the Department of Public Works, Haverhill’s Brightside and Haverhill Recreation Director Vinny Ouellette, the event was attended by several civic and community groups, as well as families and individuals eager to make a difference in their community.
Here, WHAV highlights a few of those difference makers who spent Saturday volunteering their time to brighten up Haverhill for all neighbors!
