Have Haverhill’s next big soccer star at home? The city’s youth soccer league is currently accepting registrations for two sports teams aimed at children in pre-school through sixth grade.

The Development program, backed by Mass Youth Soccer, helps instruct players grouped by single grade and randomly placed on co-ed teams led by volunteer coaches. All groups train on Saturdays at Consentino Middle School, 685 Washington St. The spring season begins on April 1 and runs for eight weeks.

Haverhill Youth Soccer’s In-Town program is a league for third through sixth graders. Games are played each Saturday, with practices twice a week. The teams are co-ed, and and broken down by one team for third- and fourth-graders and one for fifth- and sixth-graders. Games and practices take place at Consentino.

Registration forms for both programs must be submitted—along with an $80 fee—no later than March 9. For more information or to apply, visit HaverhillYouthSoccer.org.
