As family and friends prepare to say a final goodbye to 11-year-old Precious Wallaces, the Consentino sixth grader is being remembered as “bright” and “beautiful” in an obituary released Wednesday.

Under the care of Haverhill’s Paul C. Rogers Funeral Home, the wake for Wallaces—born Precious D’Armanie Ivetteliz Wallaces Rivera—is planned for Saturday, Dec. 29 from 4-8 p.m. at 334 Main St. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral.

“A bright light has been extinguished from the lives of everyone she touched, but the gift of her life, the beauty of her spirit, will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her,” family wrote in the girl’s obituary. “On first encounters she had a definite shy side, but once she opened up, all she wanted to do was put a smile on everyone’s face.”

The middle school student was a familiar face at Youth Empower House, frequently taking part in the group’s after-school activities. Fashion was important to Wallaces and makeup and accessorizing came naturally to her, according to her family. She was also a gifted artist.

Wallaces, born on Aug. 29, 2007, was the daughter of Cynthia Marie Rivera and Ronnie A. Wallaces and stepdaughter of Javier Colon and Lorraine Flores. In addition to her mother, father, stepfather and stepmother, she is survived by her grandfather Cruz Rivera, grandmother Providencia Cruz and Julio Luna, along with five brothers who were very close to her: Angelo Carrero, Jaovahnny Colon, Jaydon Wallaces, Ijaydiz Cruz, Ronny Wallaces Jr, sister, Ashanty Wallaces, uncle,Miguel Rivera, two aunts Yadira Soto and Cathie Rivera and cousin Niushcka Rivera. She will also be missed by a large extended family and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests mourners consider making donations to the memorial GoFundMe page established to help defray funeral costs.
