Martha Luz Santana Maysonet, 53

Martha Luz Santana Maysonet, 53, passed away on Oct. 24 at the Oxford Rehabilitation with her loving family by her side.

Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Juan Santana and Maria Maysonet Maysonet and stepdaughter of Miguel Garcia Rosario of Lynn. Raised and educated in Puerto Rico, Maysonet arrived at the United States in 1996, settling in Malden. She lived in Chelsea most of her life and moved to Haverhill during the past year. A devoted mother and homemaker, she loved being with her family. She was an outspoken social butterfly who never forgot birthdays and wrote sentimental letters to all. Maysonet loved music, especially Salsa and was obsessed with photographs of family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Marlain DeJesus of Haverhill; Deviannette DeJesus of New Jersey; Josean DeJesus of Lynn; Jomael DeJesus of Somerville; a sister, Gisela Cintron of Haverhill; brothers Martin Garcia of Springfield; Carlos Miguel Garcia of Haverhill; her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Rivera, Julian Garcia and Anaiah Garcia; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 3-5 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be private. The family greatly appreciates the staff at the Oxford Rehabilitation for their support and generosity during this difficult time. The family gratefully declines flowers, but condolences, prayers, memories and donations are gladly appreciated.
