A Haverhill man arrested for prowling in New Hampshire last fall was sentenced to 12 months in the Stratford (N.H.) County House of Corrections and served just 19 days in jail, WHAV has confirmed.

Forty-four-year-old Joshua Daigle was given a 30-day suspended sentence in early April—shortened for good behavior—along with $1,000 in fines, after pleading guilty to invasion of privacy, criminal trespassing, loitering and resisting arrest.

He reported to jail April 5 and was released on April 24, the Stratford County House of Corrections told WHAV Friday. He must undergo a psychosexual evaluation within 60 days of his release and remains on probation for the next year.

As WHAV previously reported, Durham, N.H. police used surveillance video to determine Daigle trespassed in the area of 8 Coe Drive on five occasions, looking into the windows of female residents each time.

Authorities in Durham are grateful Daigle will pay for his crimes.

“We are pleased for the victims that we were able to bring them some closure. I know that they were terrified of the actions of Mr. Daigle as would be expected,” Durham Deputy Police Chief Rene Kelley told WHAV. “My staff put a tremendous amount of time and energy into this case, and it is very satisfying to know that Joshua Daigle was brought to justice. It is our hope that Mr. Daigle gets the help he needs while at the same time paying his debt to society.”

He has been ordered to stay away from Coe Drive and have no contact with the victims.
