Aaron Michael Paz, 41, Died Unexpectedly

Aaron Michael Paz, 41, of Swampscott, MA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 3.

He was born in San Diego, CA on March 25, 1977, son of Carlos F. and Shirley A. (Martin) Paz of Hampstead, N.H.

He graduated with honors from Pinkerton Academy, and attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. During his college years, his artwork was on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

He earned his construction supervisor’s license at the age of 20, owned his own Construction Company, and has been a leader in custom home building throughout the greater Boston region. His work has earned several Historical Commission awards in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His most recent position was a Project Manager at FBN Construction, Inc. in Boston.

Aaron was an artist, craftsman, avid birder, and photographer. He also enjoyed building custom radio control trucks for his kids (and himself!) and customized several of his full size trucks. There was no one like him- always laughing, full of life and laughter and one of the funniest people you could meet. He was also sensitive to the pain and fear in others, ready to offer kindness and empathy. His talent for creating beautiful art, photography and custom homes was unparalleled; there was nothing Aaron couldn’t do or couldn’t figure out how to make. More than anything, Aaron loved deeply and profoundly, and he hated to disappoint anyone. Know that the pain and fear he must have felt prevented him from seeing how loved and needed he is here. Please hold Aaron up in the light and goodness of this world, and never forget what a gift he was to all of us.

In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his fiancé Amy E. Finlayson of Swampscott, his three children Sofina L., Ryan C. and Eric M. Paz, former wife Madeline E. (Johnson) Paz all of Brooksville, Maine, and his sister Lauren A. and her husband Todd Becker and their four children, all of Haverhill; maternal grandmother Shirley Martin of Plymouth, MA as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, April 14th at 1:00 pm at West Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill & Bradford.

In lieu of flowers, we request contributions be made to the GoFundMe page to benefit his children’s education. https://www.gofundme.com/pazchildrenfund
