Haverhill’s Alexandra Chandler is running for Congress—and wants to brief her potential constituency on her platform over coffee.
In her first official campaign event, the city resident will greet members of the community on Saturday at the UU Haverhill Church at 15 Kenoza Ave., starting at 1:30 p.m.
A former Naval intelligence officer, Chandler is expected to detail her views on unemployment, healthcare and the opioid crisis at Saturday’s event.
Democrat Chandler announced her intention to run to succeed the 3rd District’s Niki Tsongas in November. She lives in Haverhill with her wife and two children.
