Ronald W. Jaffarian, 74, Former Equipment Tester at Lucent

Ronald W. Jaffarian, 74, of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley.

He was the husband of Nancy (McLeod) Jaffarian. Jaffarian was born in Manchester, N.H., Jan. 7, 1943, son of the late Walter and Pauline (LaVenture) Jaffarian. He joined The United States Navy right out of High School and served honorably during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed as an equipment tester for more than 32 years with Western Electric/Lucent Technologies, North Andover. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and history buff who loved a good debate.

Jaffarian is survived by his wife Nancy Jaffarian of Haverhill; four children, Tracy Jaffarian of Haverhill, Michael Jaffarian and wife Sharon of Pepperell, Lisa Barnhart and husband James of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Wendi Sabatino and husband Joel of Haverhill. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and countless others who will miss him. Jaffarian was pre-deceased by his grandson Matthew Sabatino and great-granddaughter Hadley Richards.
