Myrtle (Lovelace) Tyrrell, 98

Myrtle (Lovelace) Tyrrell, 98, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at High Point House, Haverhill. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Tyrrell.

Tyrrell was born in Cambridge, Oct. 8, 1918, and later moved to Salem, where she raised her three children. She worked for many years at Almy’s Department Store in Salem as a salesperson. As a woman, mother and grandmother, Tyrrell was truly a member of America’s “greatest generation.”

She leaves behind her children, Dianne Kluge and Francis Tyrrell and was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Muse. She is survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her family is grateful to High Point Hospice House for the great care and kindness they showed throughout Tyrrell’s time there. The family would also like to thank the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center for their wonderful care as well.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, Sept. 1, from 10 to 11:45 a.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, route 97, Haverhill. Her funeral service follows at noon in the funeral home.
