Methuen Police are investigating a beating and robbery that took place early Saturday night.
Gustavo Rosario came to the police station Saturday, at about 8:20 p.m., bleeding from his face, according to a report. He told police he was beaten and robbed by two men on Camden Street, while sitting in his parked car. He said a heavy-set, light skinned man entered the car through the rear driver’s side door. The man was wearing glasses, a black baseball hat, black pants and sweatshirt. At the same time, another heavy-set light skinned male wearing all black entered through the rear passenger’s side door. The first man displayed a black firearm, demanded all of Rosario’s belongings, pistol whipped him and ripped a gold chain from his neck.
Rosario tried driving away with the men still in back, but one reached forward and pushed the shift back into park, police said. Once the car stopped, the man with the firearm threatened to kill Rosario and struck him in the head with the gun several more times. Rosario managed to flee the car and observed the men running away as well.
Besides the two men in the rear, Rosario believes a third man served as a lookout. He is described as black, tall, thin build and wearing a black sweater, white t-shirt and red shorts.
Methuen firefighters provided first aid and took Rosario to Holy Family Hospital.
Methuen Police are also looking for a female, known on Facebook as Sisi Paperz, who may have witnessed the scene.
