Lt. Gov. Polito in Haverhill for Small Business Tour, Grant Announcement

Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini, MassDevelopment President and CEO Marty Jones are scheduled to take a “Small Business Month” tour of downtown Haverhill and announce small business accelerator pilot grants this afternoon.

Polito will announce Small Business Accelerator Grants directed to MassDevelopment’s transformative development initiative communities, such as Haverhill. The quasi-state finance agency has financially backed Haverhill’s downtown revitalization effort.

The visit and announcement are expected to take place at 4 p.m., at Battle Grounds Coffee, 39 Washington St.

Following the Haverhill visit, Polito is expected to travel to Salisbury for a Boardwalk Project visit.
