Paul L. Bouchard Jr., 94, World War II, Korean war Veteran

Paul_BouchardPaul L. Bouchard Jr., 94, of Felton, Del., and a native of Haverhill, died March 4, at Kent General Hospital, Dover, Del.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, son of the late William L. and Rena M (Cartier) Bouchard, he attended local schools and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1941.

A veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, Bouchard retired from the U.S. Air Force as senior master seargent. He served as a flight engineer trained on the B 17s, B 24s and B 25s. Following his discharge from the service in 1969, he worked for 20 years for the State of Delaware Department of Agriculture. A wintertime resident of Ft. Pierce, Fla., he worked as a driver safety instructor for more than 30 years for AARP. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Dover, Del., and the Loyal Order of Moose.

He leaves his son William P. Bouchard of New Castle, Del.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Bouchard of Texas and Sandra Bouchard of Newton, N.H.; nieces, Norma Jean, Kate, Nancy and Kristin; and a nephew, Ronald. He was predeceased by brothers Norman and Ronald Bouchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, March 11, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Burial with military honors will take place immediately after the Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
