Jean A. (Reagan) Grammont, 84, Worked at Western Electric

Jean A. (Reagan) Grammont, 84, passed away Feb. 27, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley. She was the wife of the late George H. Grammont.

Born in Groveland April 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Pernell R. (Brown) Reagan. She was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1950. Grammont worked as a bench worker at Western Electric before joining Microwave Engineering, where she worked as a lathe operator for 14 years before retiring in 1994. She was an active member of Riverside Memorial Church where she was a member of the choir, and was a member and past secretary of the Haverhill Grange. Grammont and her family acquired many fond memories while vacationing at their summer home in Rumney, NH.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn M. Grammont of Haverhill, Kathleen L. Young and husband Stephen of Goffstown, N.H.; son, Michael S. Grammont and wife Edie of Nottingham, N.H.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, John T. Reagan Jr. and wife Janie of Fort Pierce, Fla.; sister-in-law, Janet Reagan of East Kingston, N.H.; Kelley Grammont, her caregiver and daughter-in-law. She was also the mother of the late Scott Grammont and Jeffrey Grammont.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, March 6, at Dole, Childs and Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill, from  to 7:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 8.
