Police say a fight over allegedly stolen sneakers ended with someone bleeding after being struck by a broom handle.
Victor Camacho, 25, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon and using a disguise. Camacho, of 48 North St, was arrested late Saturday night, at 10 Fifth Ave. Camacho allegedly hit the victim with a broom handle and threatened the person with a knife, said Lt. Robert P. Pistone, police spokesman. The charge of using a disguise came when Camacho gave police a false name.
The victim made his way to a nearby convenience store. No robbery charges were reported.

Police arrested a Georgetown man Friday for, what they believe is, his role in the theft of thousands of dollars of jewelry from a downtown Haverhill pawn shop.
James King, 53, was taken into custody just before 7, Friday morning, at his home for his alleged nighttime robbery at House of Pawn, 24 Emerson St., back in November. King was charged with three counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny from a building, three counts of destruction of property and possession of burglar’s tools.
He was arrested on warrants after an extensive police investigation in concert with Massachusetts State Police. An accomplice is still being sought.
Francisco Baez, 27, of 39 Freeman St., was arrested Friday, just before 12:30 p.m., on possession of drugs with intent to distribute, three counts of reckless endangerment and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Phillip Smith, 47, a resident of a homeless shelter at 127 How St., was also arrested Friday just before 12:30 p.m. on a warrant related to larceny of more than $250.
Amy Conley, 53, 82 Blossom St., was arrested Friday, 5:19 p.m., at Central Plaza, and charged with shoplifting.
