Police Arrest Another Out-of-State Resident for Drug Dealing

A drug-related investigation Tuesday evening led Haverhill police to charge one of two Maine residents taken into custody.

Albert Proia, 51, of Sanford, Maine, was arrested at 6:42 p.m. at 20 Pilgrim Road, and charged with drug trafficking. He had outstanding warrants related to larceny by check, driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of liquor, license restriction violation, speeding and failure to wear a seat belt.

Lisa Sullivan, 49, also of Sanford, Maine, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. at 20 Pilgrim Road on a warrant related to driving under the influence of liquor, negligent operation and a marked lanes violation.

Both are scheduled to appear in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news:

John Roeger, 31, of 3 South St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. on Bartlett Street and charged with possession of a class A drug. He also had an outstanding warrant related to driving with a suspended license.

Sarah Chittick, 33, of Salisbury, was arrested Tuesday at 9:40 p.m., at 45 Summer St., on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Patrick Duval, 28, listed as homeless (last known address 51 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill), related to assault and battery, High Street, 11:12 a.m.

Corey Smith, 29, 51 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, related to felony breaking and entering in the daytime, driving with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt, 51 Bellevue Ave., 6:02 p.m.

Devon Plaza, 22, 59 Arch St., Haverhill, related to assault and battery, 59 Arch St., 9:25 p.m.
