Attorney Sumbul Siddiqui leads a discussion of “Small Business Law Basics,” what you need to know to keep your business safe and legal, Wednesday.
Siddiqui is an attorney at Northeast Legal Aid, a non-profit legal services organization serving Essex and Northern Middlesex communities. Topics include the different types of entities a business may use (sole proprietorships, corporation, LLC); compliance with licensing, permitting and zoning requirements; and some basic tips for business contracts. The discussion is sponsored by Mayor James J. Fiorentini.
“This program will give small business owners a view into the common legal issues that they could see as part of their business. Prior to becoming the Mayor, I was a small business owner and I know I would have benefitted from this type of informational session,” Fiorentini said.
The seminar takes place Wednesday, Oct. 26, from noon to 2 p.m., at 145 Essex Street, second Floor, suite 201, Haverhill.
