Police Investigate Acre-Area Shooting Incident; No Injuries Reported

Haverhill police are investigating shots being fired by occupants of one car against another around 8:30 p.m., last night, near Burnham School at Fountain Street.

There have been no arrests or reports of injuries, said Detective Lt. Robert P. Pistone.

“Shots were fired, but no one was hit,” Pistone told WHAV.

Police erected road blocks following the shooting report.

The shooting report is the latest in a series of similar incidents in the Acre neighborhood. Last February, an adult male was wounded, receiving non-life threatening injuries, after shots were fired into a residence at 28 Fifth Ave.

This is a developing story.

  1. This is the area that award winning liberal democrat Tom Sullivan suggested last year that the city focus on for development. Haverhill’s own Chicago….Great idea Tom!!

  2. Since when are Fountain St and the Burnham School in the Acre? There are many different ideas on the boundaries of the Acre, but none of them cross Main St.
