Willy G. Rivas, 37, of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday, July 6, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
He was born in Guatemala Oct. 27, 1978, son of Maria (Arana) Rivas of Haverhill and the late Gabino Rivas who passed away in 2014. He and his family came to the U.S. in 1981 and was educated here. He was employed as a machinist at Astro Precision Machine, Salem, NH. Rivas enjoyed fishing and had a love of music.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children Jeovanni Hetel of Haverhill, Xzavier Bryan of Revere and Amaryha Bryan of Providence, RI; sister Lindsi and her husband Wally Vasquez of Haverhill; brothers Nelson Rivas and his wife Cynthia of Salem, N.H., Milton Rivas of Derry, N.H.; step brother Rudy Cabrera of Haverhill; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. His funeral mass takes place Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m., at St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Interment will be private.
