William J. Gingrass, 25, Served in Afghanistan

William_GingrassWilliam J. Gingrass, 25, passed away Saturday, June 11, at his home in Haverhill.

Born in Exeter, N.H., he was the son of Rodney H. and Kathleen (Hayes) Gingrass of Haverhill. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army serving his country more than three years as a specialist in Afghanistan. He was medically retired from the Army in Kentucky and eventually moved back to Haverhill. He loved being a soldier and served his country well. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing with his father and recently took up the game of golf. He loved old cars especially the muscle cars. He enjoyed time spent at the local beaches and was a devoted father to his three boys. He was close to his mother and all his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he leaves three sons Christopher D. Gingrass, Alexander D. Gingrass and William J. Gingrass Jr., all of Haverhill; wife, Chellsya (Gish) Gingrass of Hopkinsville, K.Y.; brother Nicholas Gingrass of Hopkinsville, K.Y.; uncle, Patrick J. Hayes of Woodbridge, Virg.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, June 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Tuesday, 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
