Rivard Joins Holy Family Hospital as Finance Chief

Marcella L. Rivard has been named chief financial officer at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen and Haverhill.

Rivard, a certified public accountant with a master’s degree in business administration, brings more than 30 years of experience in health care finance, in the areas of physician group practices, community and teaching hospitals, consulting, and public accounting, according to the hospital.

“Marcella Rivard’s record of success in hospital finance makes her valued member of our senior management team,” said Holy Family Hospital President Joseph Roach. “I am pleased to welcome Marcella to Holy Family Hospital, and I look forward to successful collaboration on existing hospital programs as well as new ventures that will continue to move our hospital forward.”

Rivard most recently served as chief financial officer for the Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical Faculty Practice, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston.

“I have been in health care finance for over 25 years in Massachusetts, and I have always heard about the wonderful care Holy Family Hospital provides to the community. I am pleased to be part of that and I look forward to contributing to the success of the organization,” said Rivard.

Rivard has also served as corporate controller and director of financial planning and decision support at Hallmark Health Systems in Medford; and as senior director of financial planning, and director of member and affiliate development, at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester.
