Marion B. (Goodwin) Nordengren, 87, of Bradford passed away April 20, at Hannah Duston, Haverhill.
She was born in Maynard, Nov. 26, 1928, daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Lanigan) Goodwin. She graduated from Haverhill High School and Lowell Hospital School of Nursing. Nordengren chose to raise her children prior to going into employment as a private duty nurse. She took great joy in taking dancing lessons with her husband and going out on dance weekends with their many friends. She also took part in bowling leagues, scouts and all other activities her children were involved with. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Sacred Hearts #864.
She was the wife of the late William K. Nordengren, who passed away in 2002. and is survived by her children William K. Nordengren Jr. and his fiancé Angela Leblanc of Hollis, N.H., Catherine A. and her husband Charles Legere of Bradford, Scott F. Nordengren of Haverhill, and Eric J. Nordengren and his wife Helena of Merrimack, N.H.; sister Catherine Andrews of Hudson; sister-in-law Theresa Goodwin of Haverhill; grandchildren Erin F. Burke, Conor R. Nordengren, Garrett A. Nordengren and Brianne M. Nordengren; great grandchildren Thomas and Jonathan Burke; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Francis Goodwin and Patsy Goodwin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation Saturday, April 23, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (route 125) Bradford. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Sacred Hearts Church at 11. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
