Become A WHAV Member; Promote An Informed Community

An Informed Community Means Better Neighbors, Voters, Consumers.

Non-profit WHAV is in the midst of its March Membership Month, seeking new members and asking existing members to renew for 2016 to help pay for local news coverage and original reporting.

This year’s theme is “An Informed Community Means Better Neighbors, Voters, Consumers.” Memberships range from $10 for students and senior citizens to $25 and up for Individual Club members, $100 and up for Leadership Circle and $500 and up for the Edwin V. Johnson Society. WHAV’s newsroom was dedicated to Johnson in 2009. He was a legendary news director, who served the radio station for 34 years, and also was a longtime instructor and English Department chairman at Haverhill High School.

“WHAV’s website now receives five million page views monthly, demonstrating the news organization is meeting a vital public need,” said Tim Coco, volunteer president and general manager. “Providing this coverage is an expensive endeavor, which will only grow once the new FM radio station goes on the air this year at 97.9.”

Memberships may be obtained online by clicking on the “Membership” tab or by sending checks to:
