Beverly Born Canadian Diplomat to Address MV Chamber

Canadian Consulate General David N. Alward was born in Beverly.

“Business Opportunities with Canada” is the topic of an upcoming business luncheon featuring Canadian Consulate General David N. Alward.

Alward was born in Beverly, Mass., and represents Canada in the states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1999, was sworn in as minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture in 2003, and took the oath of office to become the 32nd Premier of New Brunswick in 2010.

He will speak during the luncheon taking place as part of the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) annual Spring Business Expo, Trade Show, Health and Wellness Fair, according to the Chamber. It will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, at Phoenician Restaurant and Michael’s Function Halls, 12 Alpha St., Haverhill.

Cost for the luncheon is $28 for MVCC members and $50 for non-members. A hot lunchwill be served.

Admission to the MVCC Spring Business Expo, Trade Show, Health and Wellness fair, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., is free to the public.
