Catherine B. Gorski, 102, Worked at Allen Shoe

Catherine-GorskiCatherine B. Gorski, 102, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully March 4, at Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.

She was born in Haverhill, April 12, 1913, the daughter of the late, Stanley and Nellie (Bizeur) Gorski. She was raised and educated in Haverhill. Gorski worked in the local shoe industry as a fancy stitcher. She retired from Allen Shoe in 1983. She was a member of the former St. Michael’s Parish and currently of All Saints Parish. Catherine was a woman of faith, who loved to cook Polish food for family gatherings. She had a love for gardening and was proud of having the best looking yard on the street.

Gorski is survived by her nieces and nephews; Mary Lou Huffling of Alsted, N.H., Karen St. Jacques of San Antonio, Fla., Andrea J. Hopkins of Austin, Texas, Thomas P. Gorski of Naples, Fla., Stephen A. Gorski of Plaistow, N.H., and Edward J. Gorski of Hampton, N.H. She is also survived by several great as well as great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Frank, Andrew and William as well as her niece, Billie Gorski Ferrick

Family and friends are invited to attend Gorski’s Life Celebration Saturday, March 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01832. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the Life Celebration at 11 a.m., at All Saints Parish in Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Haverhill.
