Marilyn R. (Dusombre) Daneau, 77, Worked at Clicker City Shoes

marilyn_daneauMarilyn R. (Dusombre) Daneau, 77, a lifelong resident of Haverhill died Feb. 15, at Oxford Manor Nursing Home.

Born Jan. 6, 1939, in Haverhill, daughter of the late Omer and Marguerite (Belanger) Dusombre, she was raised and educated in Haverhill. She attended St. James Grammar School and Haverhill High School. As a young woman, Daneau was employed in the local shoe industry and was employed at Clicker City Corporation on Stevens Street, Haverhill, for many years. A member of All Saints Parish, Mrs. Daneau enjoyed making puzzles and ceramics, canning, playing Bingo, bowling, and taking trips to Atlantic City.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Daneau; two sons and daughters-in-law, John O. Daneau and Ginger Rogers of Seabrook, N.H., and James and Beth Daneau of Chester, N.H.; three daughters, Sherrie Daneau of Portsmouth, N.H., Susan McCarthy and her husband Dennis of Tilton, N.H., and Kelly Ridgewell of Prince Frederick, Md.; four brothers, Gilbert Dusombre of Haverhill, Leonel Dusombre of Londonderry, N.H., Robert Dusombre of Seabrook, N.H., and Frederick Dusombre of Plaistow, N.H.; four sisters, Helen St. Cyr of Haverhill, Janet Langlois of Haverhill, Sally Hardy of Dover, N.H., and Peggy Caruthers of Port Angeles, Washington; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, John Dusombre, Richard Dusombre, Marjorie Chadwick, and Catherine Descoteaux.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, Feb. 21, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service will take place Monday, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Amesbury.
