Methuen Woman Found Safe Walking on I-93

A Methuen woman, reported missing Wednesday, has been found safe.

Joanne Talbot, 45, was discovered just before noon walking along Interstate 93 north in Methuen, Trooper Paul Sullivan, spokesperson, told WHAV. He said Talbot was discovered State Police Trooper Malachy Higgins after being spotted by a resident.

“An alert citizen called to report her walking on the side of the highway,” said Methuen police.

Higgins called MethuenEMS and Talbot was transported to Holy Family Hospital.

Police asked for the public’s help in locating Talbot, who was last seen at about 9 a.m., Tuesday, on Woodland Street, Methuen. Police she has various health issues and could be in need of medical attention. She is described as being five feet, 10 inches tall, 186 pounds, light complexion, blond hair and green eyes.
