The rainy weather prompted Veterans Day events in Haverhill and elsewhere Wednesday to move indoors.
The city’s Veterans Day ceremony began at 11 a.m. in City Hall Auditorium. The rain also brought cancellation of the Veterans Day parade.
A parade scheduled in the city of Methuen was cancelled due to rain. In its place, an indoor ceremony was held this morning at Methuen American Legion Hall.
In Andover, scheduled outdoor ceremonies at West Parish and Spring Grove Cemeteries were cancelled. However, a noon ceremony at Ballardvale Green was scheduled to take place as planned, followed by a luncheon at the Masonic Temple, 7 High St., Andover.
