Police Make Various Weekend Arrests

A Lawrence man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on a theft charge in connection with an arrest by Haverhill police Saturday evening.

Julio Agosto Cruz, 30, of Lawrence, was arrested at 7:21 p.m., Saturday, at 9 Creek Brook Drive. He was charged with larceny over $250.

In other police news:

Two Haverhill residents are due in court to face unlicensed driving, among other charges, after separate arrests by police Saturday on outstanding warrants.

According to Haverhill police, Thomas Kopp, 32, of 55 Varnum St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 8:28 p.m., Saturday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under a warrant, he was charged with driving with a suspended license, speeding, failure to wear a seat belt and driving a vehicle without an inspection sticker.

Later, at 10:44 p.m., Saturday, police arrested Krystle Stephan, 27, of 360 Main St., Haverhill, at home on a warrant charging her with driving with a suspended license, possession of a class A drug and driving a vehicle without an inspection sticker.

A Haverhill man, charged by police early Friday with assault and battery against a person over age 60, was due to appear in district court following his arrest. Christopher Collins, 19, of 173 Kenoza St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:07 a.m., Friday, at 173 Kenoza Ave.
