Lesley A. (Spencer) Pearson, 81

Lesley_PearsonLesley A. (Spencer) Pearson, 81, of Haverhill, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, surrounded by her close friends.

She was born in New York City, Nov. 14, 1933, daughter of the late Walter Spencer and Evelyn (Illman) Spencer. Educated in the Haverhill school system, she also attended Macintosh College of Business. She was employed by the IRS and also spent years as a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Arts & Crafts Society in Haverhill. She enjoyed going to Sarah’s Place for the past 14 years and has made many friends. Pearson always considered the staff at Sarah’s Place part of her family. She enjoyed socializing, activities and entertainment.

Her survivors include her dearest friends, Laurie Cronin and her family of Haverhill; Jim Fraczek and his family of Burlington; Sarah’s Place staff of Haverhill; sister in-law Shirley Spencer; nieces and nephews Karen, Shannon, Robert & Steven Spencer, all of Ohio; and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Spencer Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Haverhill Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Sarah’s Place, 180 Water Street Haverhill.
