A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on assault charges following his arrest by Haverhill police Monday.
Pedro Rodriguez, 52, of 5 Seventh Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:20 a.m., Monday, at his home. He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
In other police news, a Haverhill man faces motor vehicle charges in court after his arrest early Monday on an outstanding warrant. Haverhill police report Clyde Jean-Baptiste, 28, of 32 Pilling St., apartment 2, Haverhill, was taken into custody at 2:15 a.m., Monday, at the intersection of Portland and White streets. Under a warrant, he was charged with driving after license suspension and a defective equipment violation.
