Haverhill Bank’s downtown Haverhill headquarters will soon be sporting solar panels on its roof as the institution aims to “help offset energy costs, create a new income stream and reduce the carbon footprint,” an energy developer said.
Sven Amirian, representative of Marlborough-based MassAmerican Energy, said installation of the solar panels begins next month.
“Haverhill Bank, a leading community financial institution, was looking for additional ways to give back to the community and the environment while continuing to make smart investments,” Amirian said in a statement today.
