Phyllis A. (Carlton) Venturo, 90

Phyllis A. (Carlton) Venturo, 90, of Haverhill, died Tuesday morning, March 31, at Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.

She was born in Newton, Nov. 5, 1924, daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary Greer Carlton and sister of Edward Carlton, also deceased. She was the wife of the late Jesse A. Venturo.

She is survived by her daughters and their families, Joyce and Richard D’Aoust of Bradford, Judith and Edward Boksanski of Bradford, Pamela Kellan of Salem, N.H., Susan Venturo of Watertown, and her son in law Frederick Blanchard of Lowell. Her daughter Diane Blanchard and her son in law Kenneth Kellan pre-deceased Venturo in 2011. Her greatest legacy is her family. She had 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. A woman of great faith, Venturo was an active member of the former St. Rita’s Church, Haverhill, where she was a lector and member of the Sodality.

Relatives and friends are  invited to attend her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 6, 10 a.m., in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St. (route 125), Bradford. Burial will follow immediately at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to the fight against Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, or to the charity of your choice.
