Clara Dolores (Scatamacchia) Lesiczka, 94, Western Electric

Clara Dolores (Scatamacchia) Lesiczka, 94, longtime Haverhill resident, died Thursday morning, March 5, at Valley Health Center (formerly known as Amesbury Village), Amesbury. She was the wife of the late Adam Lesiczka.

Born in Haverhill, May 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinando and Concetta Scatamacchia and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.

She worked as a technician at Western Electric until her retirement and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Lesiczka was a wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt and her greatest pleasure came from taking care of her family. She loved to laugh, cook, and dance, especially the Polka. Lesiczka also liked to go to Dunkin Donuts for her coffee and pastry, and to catch-up on the local talk about town.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Paula Golden, and her brothers, Donald and Hugo Scatamacchia, she leaves behind her son-in-law, Joel Golden and wife Sharon of Needham; her two grandchildren, Zachary Golden and wife Jackie, and Lindsey Golden all of Boston; and her nephew, Robert Scatamacchia and wife Paula of Bradford, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Visiting hours at the Paul C. Rogers-Carnevale Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, will be Wednesday, March 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. immediately followed by a service at the funeral home at 4 p.m. A private springtime interment will be at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
