Recreation Department Reopens Riverside Ice Skating Area

With snow removal complete, the Haverhill Parks and Recreation Department says ice-skating has resumed at Riverside Park.

Recreation department workers, under the direction of Vincent Ouellette, assembled the ice skating area from a kit. The area, on the east side of Haverhill Stadium, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Riverside Park, depending on the season, also sports five softball fields, four baseball fields, tennis courts, fenced in dog area, walking path, a major league baseball diamond, two swing sets, two playscapes, benches, picnic tables and open space, according to the department.

The recreation department has general oversight of the city’s parks and playgrounds.
