Lois Bissen, 55, of Haverhill passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, at her home.
She was born in Winchester, May 10, 1959, the daughter of late John Francis and Margaret Abigail (Powers) Nowell. Bissen was educated in the Winchester school system and graduated from Winchester High School with the class of 1977. She later attended Framingham State University. She enjoyed making a home for her loving family. Bissen enjoyed bowling, boating, spending time at her camp, arts and crafts, card playing and Scrabble. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Bissen is urvived by her husband Robert Bissen of Haverhill; a son, John Evan Bissen of Haverhill; sisters, Martha Nowell and her husband Mark Carvlin of Flemington, N.J.; and Marion Nowell of Philadelphia, Penn., as well as many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Saturday, Feb. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
