Laurie L. (Elario) Vanloon, 52, Owned Scrapper’s Heaven

Laurie L. (Elario) Vanloon, 52, of Groveland, died Sunday, Jan. 25, after a brief illness, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of John C. Vanloon.

Born in Beverly, July 27, 1962, was the daughter of the late Donald Elario And Gloria (Sciamanna) Elario and was a graduate of Beverly High School.

Laurie was one of three sisters who owned and operated A Scrapper’s Heaven in Merrimac, where she taught classes and had the eye for matching colors. She made numerous scrap books for family and friends, all of whom were overwhelmed with the artistry and craftsmanship of her books.

A loving wife, sister and aunt, Laurie leaves behind her husband of 29 years, her two sisters, Patricia Elario of Amesbury and Sharon Perkins and husband Stephen of Merrimac; her two brothers, Donald Elario, Jr. and fiancee Ahriah of Nevada and Robert Elario of Florida; as wells as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Laurie also leaves behind her two dogs, Lucy and Desi, whom she considered her children. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathy Laue.

Laurie’s loving, caring ways and dedication to others will always be remembered.

Visiting hours at Paul C. Rogers Family-Carnevale Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, will be Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main Street, Bradford, with burial in the North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly.
