Radiation Oncologist Jonathan Glanzman has joined the medical staff in the Holy Family Hospital Center for Cancer Care and Pediatrician Saroj Purohit joined the medical staff of Steward Methuen Pediatrics.

Glanzman received his medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, and a second residency in radiation oncology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. “Our cancer care center offers patients in the Merrimack Valley access to leading board-certified medical and radiation oncologists and Dr. Glanzman is a perfect example of the highly trained and compassionate physicians we insist on,” said hospital President Joseph Roach.

The Center for Cancer Care is one of only seven hospitals in Massachusetts, and one of only two hospitals north of Boston, to have been awarded a three-year accreditation) and the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Holy Family has held this distinction for six consecutive years, beginning in 2010, according to a news release.

The radiation oncology department was the first of its kind in Massachusetts to be accredited by the American College of Radiology.

Purohit attended medical school at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in India. She completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, and her fellowship at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. “Dr. Purohit’s knowledge, experience and commitment to quality health care for children of all ages makes her a wonderful addition to the team at Steward Methuen Pediatrics,” said Roach.

Purohit joins practice with pediatricians Rex Pajela, Bronie Gorelik and Rebecca Konieczny at Steward Methuen Pediatrics, 380R Merrimack St., Suite 3B, Methuen. The team provides newborn, child and adolescent (through age 18) health and medical services, including well baby care, sick child care and immunizations.
