Vascular Surgeon Walter Kwass presents “Recent Advances in Wound Care,” Dec. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley’s first-floor auditorium.
Dr. Kwass, a board certified vascular surgeon and medical director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, will talk about why some wounds may not heal, what inhibits and what promotes wound healing and the role of biologic grafts, epidermal autografts and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
The presentation is part of the Meet the Expert series of seminars held monthly throughout the year. They are free and open to the public. Light refreshments are served and registration is required. Nurses in attendance are awarded one continuing education credit at the end of the presentation.
