Hollywood personality and WHAV alum Tom Bergeron this week revealed the funny story behind why he hosted the annual Miss America pageant only once.
Appearing in a HuffPost Live video interview, Bergeron said he made the mistake of telling a talk show about the inappropriate behavior of a southern pageant contestant in 2003.
“One of the Southern state contestants and I said, ‘That’s a really nice shoulder massage.’ She said, and I quote, ‘And if I win, a full body massage,’” Bergeron said.
Bergeron hosts “Dancing With The Stars” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” He is also the author of “I’m Hosting as Fast as I Can: Zen and the Art of Staying Sane in Hollywood.”
