Richard K. Fale, 78, Iron Worker

GROVELAND–Richard K. Fale, 78, of Los Alamitos, California, formerly of Groveland, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23.

Born in Melrose, was the son of the late, Tom and Alice E. (Kinsman) Fale. He attended Melrose schools and was a graduate of Melrose High School, class of 1952. Soon after graduation Richard enlisted into the United States Coast Guard. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly served from 1952 until being honorably discharged in 1956. Fale was employed as an Iron Worker out of Boston Local #7 and relocating to California in 1978 he transferred to Local #433, retiring in 1995.

He leaves his children; Jill A. McComiskie and her husband, John, of Groveland, John C. Fale, of Bradford, and Greg A. Fale and his wife Jane E. (Harris) Fale, also of Bradford; grandchildren, J.R. McComiskie, and his wife, Jennifer, Michael McComiskie and his wife, Monica, and Jaime Harper and her husband Steven, Andrew Fale, Lindsey Harris, Daniel, Thomas, and Erin (Fale) Ruggiero and her husband, John; and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas R. Fale and his brother, Tom A. Fale.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service for Richard on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (route 125) Haverhill. The family will receive visitors preceding the service from 7 to  p.m. in the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland at the convenience of the family.
