Police Make Burglary, Drunk Driving Arrests

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned on various charges, including burglary-related counts, in Haverhill District Court after his arrest early Saturday on South Main Street.

Haverhill Police report 29-year old Jeremy A. Trongeau of Haverhill was charged with felony breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent, malicious damage, resisting arrest and possession of burglarious tools. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for a charge of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension. An investigation is ongoing.

In other police news, two people are due to face drunk driving charges in Haverhill District Court after their arrests by Haverhill Police over the weekend during separate traffic stops.

Haverhill Police report 37-year-old Tiandra Johnson-Smith of Lynn was taken into custody at 11 p.m., Sunday, at 16 Ferry Street. Saturday night, police arrested 59-year-old Karen Labarge of Haverhill in a stop made at 415 Primrose Street. Each driver is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
