Marguerite D. (Young) Woodside, 95, of Haverhill died peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill, July 16, 1919, daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary F. (Blinn) Young. Marguerite was educated in the Haverhill school system, graduating from Haverhill high School, class of 1938. She lived in Plaistow, Groveland and was a resident for the last five years at Haverhill Crossings, Haverhill, where she received wonderful care by the many employees there. The family would also like to thank the Merrimack Valley Hospice for their kindness and care they gave her during her illness. After raising her children she was employed for a period of time in the jewelry department at the former Service Merchandise, Bradford. She made many friends there and continued her friendships throughout her retirement years. Her favorite times were spent at Newfound Lake, Bristol, N.H., where family and friends gathered at camp most weekends. Marguerite and Ralph traveled many miles poking around antique shops and square dancing with the Merri-Vales Club. Both had a great love of music. A devoted, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Marguerite enjoyed her home and having the family visit. She loved to bake and always made sure everyone had something good to eat or take home with them.
