Three people were reported rescued just before noon, Tuesday, after a canoe carrying a father and son overturned on Haverhill’s Lake Saltonstall, also known as Plug Pond.
According to reports, a canoe tipped over in the water after a man inside passed out. His teenage son then called for help while holding onto him. A third person who swam from shore to reach the canoe was also rescued by emergency responders.
Haverhill fire and police officials declined WHAV’s request for further comment.
