Doris R. (Bramhall) Gallagher, 94, of Haverhill died Thursday morning, July 31 at Salem Haven Nursing Home, Salem, N.H.
She was born in Lawrence, June 28, 1920, daughter of the late Leslie H. and Anna A. (Saalfrank) Bramhall. Educated in the Lawrence school system, Mrs. Gallagher graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1938. She was employed at the former Bolta Rubber Co., Lawrence, and was also employed as a stitcher in various companies. While in Haverhill Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the Senior Center as well as the Council on Aging. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling and bird watching in her backyard.
Mrs. Gallagher was the wife of the late William F. Gallagher who died in 1991 and her survivors include four children, William F. Gallagher and his wife Jean of Naples, Fla., Dianne D. Wilczynski and her husband Chet of Haverhill, Daniel B. Gallagher and his wife Maureen of Salem, N.H., Richard L. Gallagher and his fiancé Linda Harris of Northwood, N.H., eight grandchildren, William F. Gallagher, David W. Wilczynski, Janice D. Emery, Chris W. Gallagher, Jamey T. Gallagher, Rachel C. Gallagher, Valerie J. Gallagher and Laurie Gallagher, eight great grandchildren, Wil, Cady, Erin, Evangeline and Alex Gallagher, Myles, Paige and Daniel Emery, her very special friend, John Szot of Sandown, N.H., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Sunday afternoon, August 3, from 1 to 4 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4, at 10:00 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
