Haverhill is notifying residents by automated telephone call about a disruption in water service.
“A large portion of the city will be affected by either low pressure or discolored water,” the message says. An updated message reports a cement truck struck a fire hydrant.
In a second message, the water department reports repairs have been completed and any discolored water will slowly return to normal.
