Alert Resident Ends Auto Break-ins

Haverhill Police early Tuesday arrested three people, including a Dorchester woman, after a string of motor vehicle break-ins.

A Haverhill Police spokesman says an alert Bradford resident called police after observing two men attempting to enter his neighbor’s car. Police located the two men and a third suspect not far from the scene. After a short investigation the three were arrested and charged with larceny from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property. Recovered items included a GPS, cell phone, cases of CDs, clothing, sunglasses and a significant amount of change. In the previous 24 hours several vehicles were reported entered.

The suspects, 18-year-old Joanna M. Tarlach of Dorchester, 45-year-old Michael Moulton of Haverhill, and 43-year-old Wayne Arsenault of Haverhill, were arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Police remind residents to remember to lock your car doors and secure your valuables. If you see something unusual, call the Haverhill police at (978) 373-1212.
