The Essex County District Attorney’s office has formally identified the man, whose body was found Tuesday night in Winnekenni Park.
Evan Therrian, 29, of Amesbury, was named early Wednesday afternoon as the deceased by Carrie Kimball-Monahan, spokesperson for Essex County District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett.
According to Kimball-Monahan, the Winnekenni Park caretaker notified Haverhill Police Sunday night, around 9:30, that a man had walked into the woods after being advised that the park was closed and that he needed to remove his Toyota RAV4 that was parked nearby.
“Foul play is not suspected,” she said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
