Edwin V. Johnson Society Legendary WHAV News Director Edwin V. Johnson set the standard for objectivity, accuracy and truth in local news reporting over his nearly 35-year-career at WHAV. Members of the Edwin V. Johnson Society (see below) have the distinction of being WHAV’s most generous and inspirational supporters, ensuring Mr. Johnson’s local news legacy continues.
On-air, online, over cable television and via smart apps, podcasts and email, only WHAV provides hourly local news; Community Spotlight; live, daily interviews with newsmakers; government meetings; and more.
There’s no log-in needed thanks to members who voluntarily support Greater Haverhill’s only public radio station and nonprofit local news service. Many listeners come for local news, but stay for the best music of all time.
About half of what it takes to keep WHAV operating comes from individuals like you. Monthly Sustainer donations of any amount help the most as they provide regular, reliable funding for local news, music and features.
